Video statement from Virginia's List Board Chair on the 2017 election results

Last night was a great night. For Virginia's List, it was historic. Never had we had more than 19 percent of our legislative seats held by women. Last night, with your help, we elected at least 10 new women legislators who will join 12 amazing incumbents and our House of Delegates alone will have 22 percent progressive women. These women include the first Latinas, the first Asian woman, and the first transgender woman to be elected to the VA House. They will bring their experience in education, health care, cyber security and more to serve our commonwealth.
